About Irene
Irene Te is an award-winning author of contemporary fiction. Her critically acclaimed debut, This Place is Magic, received the Grand Prize at the 2024 Writer's Digest Self-Published Book Awards and was chosen by librarians as the best entry in Contemporary Fiction for the 2024 Indie Author Project annual competition. Irene and her books have appeared in Writer's Digest and Library Journal. She is a former elementary school teacher with a Master's in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of San Diego.
Irene lives with her husband and son in Houston, Texas. She works as a freelance curriculum designer and also serves as marketing director for 42Fold Limited, the indie publishing division of art studio 42Fold. When she isn't writing, Irene is busy hoarding books and stacking them in every corner of her house. Having discovered K-pop as a teenager, she's now been a fan for over twenty years.
